Yes, Chinese New Year is around the corner. This Saturday is the new year eve whereby family will gather together to have a round table dinner. Children will be extra happy to get their “Ang Pow” the next day on 1st Lunar day of the year. I am looking forward to the celebration, ‘cos I get one week off from work! Yay!
However, have I started with the decoration yet? Well, yes! I’ve got those flowers ready except the lantern, I’ve got those red packet ready except putting money inside and I’ve got our red shirts ready! *LOL*
Chinese new year is all about doing auspicious things and having auspicious food too! Anyway, to me, it is all about family and be happy with the approach of a new year. Some people specifically do certain things during the new year such as getting the lions to dance in the house compound.
I wonder those Des Moines homes for sale allow any lion dancing troupe…
Anyway, Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

Have just seen The New Police Story (Win jing cha gu shi) last night, which was made in 2004, quite some times back and yet I only seen it last night, even that still, I didn’t manage to finish the whole movie. I was just too tired.
This movie is rated R for violence by MPAA. I personally really won’t let my kid watch this movie, it is too much for their innocent mind. What more there is one scene of child abuse showing. That is the worst bit about the movie to me. I hate to watch that scene where the little kid were being hand calf and his body was full with whipping marks. How terrible is that! That is also the main caused for him to be so violent and has built up so much hatred on him towards police, ‘cos his dad is a police officer, who talks about being fair and yet treated his son badly.
I’m telling myself I won’t let that happen to my kids and I’m praying for those abused children around the world that their souls can be freed.
I still don’t know the ending for the movie and would love to finish it one day. Love to see Nicholas Tse here. I always thought that he is the not-so-serious who succeeded with good look. Well, he is ok in this movie.

While we were discussing about choosing solid wood doors, we talked about choosing the sanitary ware too. Which at first seems not so important to me until I saw the actual product and also using them. I’ve been faced with some problems for my toilet. It is either not in the right size or can’t fit into the hose, those plumbing fixtures are not easy to get, especially when those that I love doesn’t fit into my toilet plumbing fixtures.
Now that we have got all the toilet fixed, my son complaints came in. He was asking why the toilet bowl is so small and it is hard for him to flush the toilet too! Oh well, unless we change the whole set of toilet, we’ll have to live with it for at least another 5 years then only I’ll think about to change them. No matter how much I love to have a posh toilet.
Another thing is, though I’ve got my kitchen set on the design and stuff, but I’m still dreaming for a nice looking posh kitchen that I can entertain guest.. dream dream….

I have a car that came with warranty like all the rest and I’ve been fervently sending it to the service centre, though sometimes over the mileage, but still on time. It has ever occurred that some parts are faulty and I thank God that it is still under warranty and part of the warranty condition is to have the service in the designated service centre. Now that the warranty period has past, there seems no good reason for me to stay on sending it to the service centre with expensive labour charges. So my plan is to send it to normal service centre, for example those in the petrol station.
I’m not sure about car, but other electrical goods like fridge and washing machine do have extended service plan with minimal charges. It is a peace of mind to have that really, for those just-in-case time.

It was awful! Due to the way our house pump and tank work, I didn’t manage to get the laundry done last night. We had a dirty old sink and probably rusted inside or filled with dirt. So whenever I let water pumped in there, the water got dirty and I had to wait for it to settle then only to start the washing machine. Thank God for good washing machine that let out a warning sign when the water is not strong enough. Else would have wasted the current for the whole night letting it run. However I need to wake up early in the morning to let it run so that I can hang all those clothes before getting to work this morning.
Thank goodness that my water filter is not being attached to that hose which connect to the tank. Else my water filter will need to be changed every week! But I do wish that I don’t even need a pump or well, maybe one that doesn’t make out any noise when it is functioning.

Phew.. I’ve just met a colleague who has lost over 10kg over the past few months! And truly, she looks great! I mean she used to look great too, ‘cos she has a good face features and now with the slim body, she’s ready to kill! *LOL* I bet her wedding bells day is near. (Pst.. that’s what I heard)
Another thing I heard is she is using some weight lost supplement. The kind that make you feel full after drinking it and still helps you to have a balance diet. It is good to hear that though I don’t need that but it would be good to get more insight from her and maybe introduce to those who need it. I know there are something else like the best fat burning supplement around, but if I haven’t met anyone that has successfully loose weight with it, it would hard to make me belief that it will definitely work.
I know having exercise is inevitable, just look at those in “The biggest looser”, you’ll know how hard they have to work for it.

I love to read about “Better Homes and Gardens“, see other people’s spaces like their living room, kitchen, bathroom and even make-over look of before and after. Sometimes even mimicking the way they decorate, but well.. mainly in my head only and can’t materialize the ideas.
I love the idea of changing the mood of a room simply by changing those thinks like curtains, cushion covers, rugs, or simply put different kind of flowers as display items or changing photos on the walls. First it won’t cost a ton and secondly you can always use them back.
Another thing that I love to read about other than Creating Keepsakes is “Ladies Home Journal” ‘cos it has lots of great ideas in taking care of ourselves, living better, communicate better and feel better. Even those weightloss diet seems tempting to try!

Getting into the third week at school, and yet my son is still complaining of headache and anxiety every morning during weekdays. I feel that I’m responsible for this. I’m starting to blame myself for enrolling him to a kindergarten that was filled with students and not one that emphasis in creative learning. I’m regretting to have done that. I’m hoping that I can reverse the outcome now.
It is a drag every morning having to face with an unhappy child who refuse to go to school and cried due to worries of being scolded in class and being too slow in writing his homework during his tuition class.
I wish I get the genuine respond from every angle when I enroll him to his kindergarten and play-school. I wish they were reviews of the schools in the net just like youthology reviews with details and genuine feedback.

The weekend is half-way gone, at least I’ve got the boys to church with me and went to the Sunday school without problem. I even managed to get them to have American Breakfast though they didn’t finish them all, but at least they’ve seated down (of course with a few move here and there) and ate their breakfast. Clever me only order two sets knowing that they’ll not be able to finish them, so I took the left-over like our town hall garbage truck *LOL*. Hope this won’t lead to an imbalance diet (just my silly thought) and require me to have hair loss vitamin.
Thank God that Mer is sleeping now and I get to have some online time. Let me have some quiet time for myself now.

When was the last time I bought my 3-steps beauty care? I forgot, it must be ages ago, definitely more than half a year ago ‘cos I’m using my sunblock as my night cream! I must get myself the foam wash, day lotion and night cream, I can feel that my face color is uneven now. Buoy oh buoy.

I’m hoping that my night cream can get rid of wrinkles, fortify and replenish my skin as claim by most brand in the night cream reviews. The best that shown in the review is Renuvie, hmm.. wonder if it is selling over here. But I bet it will cost a ton!
